<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for maintaining favorable sealing performance between a valve stem seal and a valve stem guide without removing the valve stem seal even if the valve stem seal is a spring retainer separate type valve-stem seal having high port pressure. <P>SOLUTION: The valve stem seal includes a cylindrically-shaped metal ring, a rubbery elastic seal lip that hermetically slides with a valve stem provided at one end of the metal ring, and a hermetically fitting means that hermetically fits to an outer circumferential surface of a valve stem guide. In the sealing device in which a spring retainer of a valve spring is provided separately from the valve stem seal, the hermetically fitting means is constituted of a metal fitting where the metal ring is directly connected to the outer circumferential surface of the valve stem guide and a rubbery elastic rubber fitting that is integrally held by an inner circumferential surface of the metal ring and connected to the outer circumferential surface of the valve stem guide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
