<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a time lag until display of a second channel during switching when switching from single display of a first channel on a first screen to simultaneous display of the first channel on the first screen and the second channel on a second screen. <P>SOLUTION: A second video coding buffer 106 stores coded data of a second channel at the time of the single display. When the single display is switched to the simultaneous display, a buffer control unit 107 specifies a key frame which becomes a decoding start frame in the coded data of the second channel, the key frame having a time stamp prior to the broadcasting time of the coded data, and closest to the broadcasting time. The buffer control unit generates decoded data by decoding the coded data of the second channel stored in the coding buffer from the specified key frame. A second video decoding unit 110 and a second video output unit 112 start the reproduction of the decoded data from the time point that the broadcasting time and the time stamp are synchronized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
