<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress drag in a built-in type electric brake device. <P>SOLUTION: While a parking brake is operated by an electric actuator 90, and a pressing force is kept by a lock mechanism 74, if it is estimated that there is an intention of releasing the parking brake before the relatively short time is elapsed, a hydraulic actuator 92 is operated, a piston 30 is advanced, and the hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic chamber 36 is kept in this state. As the piston 30 is advanced with hydraulic pressure generated in the hydraulic chamber 36, a piston seal 32 can be elastically deformed. Thereafter, when the parking brake is released, the piston 30 is subjected to the elastic deformation of pads 16, 18, the restoring force of the elastic deformation of a caliper 14, and the restoring force of the elastic deformation of the piston seal 32, and thus the piston 30 can be returned to the desired position to suppress the drag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
