PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-power adjustable sunken hearth capable of adjusting fire power of a burning material such as firewood and charcoal of a firing section by adjusting a wind velocity to a firing section of a fire grate upper part by a fan, and properly selecting fire power according to a cooking menu. SOLUTION: In this fire power-adjustable sunken hearth, a fire grate is placed on the center of a bottom section of an ash receiving box of the sunken hearth, the fan is disposed to supply the air to the firing section of the fire grate upper part from a lower part of vent holes of the fire grate, and further a wind velocity adjusting means is disposed to adjust the wind velocity of the air to the firing section by the fan.
