PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use power recovered by a turbine as auxiliary power of an engine in an engine waste heat recovery device. SOLUTION: This waste heat recovery deice 1 includes a water jacket 34 which is formed inside an engine body 3 and in which refrigerant passing through an inside thereof recovers waste heat and gets in a vapor state, a turbine 5 collecting power from the vapor state refrigerant, a transmission 11 transmitting power provided by the turbine 5 to a crank shaft 32 in such a manner that speed can be changed, and an ECU 13. The ECU 13 determines transmission ratio of the transmission 11 based on flow speed of the vapor flowing in the turbine 5 and engine speed, and executes control for achieving the determined transmission ratio.
