<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst layer for a fuel cell constituted of a proton conductive electrolyte superior in reproducibility, excellent in moldability, and having a high proton conductivity in non-humidified state and catalyst particles, to provide a gas diffusion electrode for the fuel cell using the same, to provide a membrane electrode assembly for the fuel cell, the fuel cell, and to provide a catalyst layer for the fuel cell with a film base material. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst layer for the fuel cell is constituted of the proton conductive electrolyte consisting of metal phosphate and phosphates and the catalyst particles. The metal phosphate is composed of a compound as represented by the following formula (1). Formula (1): M<SB>1-x</SB>N<SB>x</SB>P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>7</SB>. Herein, M, N are each a metal element, X is 0≤X<0.5, M is one kind selected from a group of Zr, Cs, Sn, Ti, Si, Ge, Pb, Ca, Mg and Al, and N is one kind selected from a group of Al, In, B, Ga, Sc, Yb, Ce, La and Sb. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
