PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating anode X-ray tube device capable of preventing break of a housing. SOLUTION: The rotating anode X-ray tube device is provided with: an X-ray tube 30 including a cathode 36, an anode target 35a, a vacuum envelope 31 formed of glass, a rotor 2, and a fixed body 1; a stator coil 910 rotating the rotor; a housing 20 formed of a material having a solid resin as its main component; a protector 70; and liquid coolant 7. The protector 70 is fixed to at least one of the vacuum envelope 31 and the housing 20, and located between, and with a clearance from, the vacuum envelope 31 and the housing 20.
