PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sleeper equipped with a level matching function. SOLUTION: This steel sleeper 1 includes a downside member 2 which is fixed to a foundation F, and an upside member 3 which is fitted in a vertically slidable manner into the downside member 2 and which can support a flooring material by a top surface. The downside member 2 comprises at least a bottom plate portion 2a which is fixed to the foundation F, and a pair of raised pieces 2b which are elongated upward from both ends of the bottom plate portion 2a. The upside member 3 comprises an upper plate portion 3a which forms the top surface, and a pair of suspended pieces 3b which are elongated downward from both ends of the upper plate portion 3a and superposed with overlap margins on the pair of raised pieces 2b of the downside member, respectively.
