PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for concentrating an ethanol water solution yielded by ethanol fermentation of a water solution of saccharide generated by enzyme saccharification of lignocellulose. SOLUTION: The device 1 for concentrating the ethanol water solution is equipped with: a water separation membrane 21; an ethanol water solution storing unit 24 arranged on one surface side of the water separation membrane 21; an evacuating means 6 arranged on the other surface side of the water separation membrane 21; an ethanol water solution supply means 3 for supplying the ethanol water solution to the ethanol water solution storing unit 24; an ethanol vapor retaining unit 25 arranged above the ethanol water solution storing unit 24; a dry gas supply means 4 for supplying dry gas to the ethanol vapor retaining unit 25; a suction means 5 for sucking the inside of the ethanol vapor retaining unit 25; and an ethanol collection means 53 which is arranged between the ethanol vapor retaining unit 25 and the suction means 5 and used for condensing the ethanol vapor sucked from the ethanol vapor retaining unit 25 and collecting the concentrated ethanol.
