PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct a portrait image. SOLUTION: A portrait image detection unit 22 detects a portrait image including a face image. An adjustment unit 23 determines whether the portrait image is included in an enlargement area, and adjusts, when the portrait image is determined to be included in the enlargement area, the range of the enlargement area and the range of a compression area so that the portrait image is not included in the enlargement area. A slim correction unit 24 compresses the compression area of a target image at a predetermined compression rate, and enlarges the enlargement area of the target image at a predetermined enlargement rate.
