<p>Disclosed is a reaction furnace for moisture generation whereby high-purity water is generated, without burning, by supplying hydrogen gas and oxygen gas to the reaction furnace provided with a platinum catalyst layer and catalytically reacting these gases at a catalytic reaction temperature lower than the ignition points of the hydrogen gas and oxygen gas, wherein the platinum catalyst layer can sustain a high adhesion strength over a long time to a barrier layer that is positioned between a matrix and the platinum catalyst layer. Specifically disclosed is a reaction furnace for moisture generation, which comprises a reaction furnace main body provided with a gas inlet and a moisture outlet, a Y2O3 barrier layer film-formed at least on a part of the inside wall of said reaction furnace main body, and a platinum catalyst layer film-formed at least on a part of said Y2O3 barrier layer. The film thickness of said Y2O3 barrier layer is preferably 50 nm to 5 µm.</p> |
