<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact position sensor having a high accuracy of detecting a contact position, and to provide a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display panel PNL having a display unit DYP comprising a plurality of display pixels arranged in a matrix shape; and a contact position sensor SS including a transparent insulating base, a group of transparent electrodes positioned on the transparent insulating base, and a current detection means for detecting currents flowing in the group of transparent electrodes, wherein the group of transparent electrodes are arranged to cover the display unit DYP and include a plurality of first electrodes EA extending in a first direction D11, a plurality of second electrodes EB extending in a second direction D12, and a plurality of third electrodes EC extending in a third direction D13, the first direction D11, the second direction D12 and the third direction D13 being mutually different directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
