<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus including an imaging member for use in lithography in which hydrophilic/hydrophobic states etc. cam be quickly changed by small temperature change. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging member 110 includes a substrate 112 and a surface layer 114 including a heat sensitive material. The heat-sensitive material contains an acryl amide polymer and a silicon material.
