PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a lens for laser beam irradiation is contaminated by a gas generated from a welded part in a liquid ejecting head formed with an ink flow pathway between a permeable member and an absorbable member by welding the permeable member and the absorbable member composed of a resin by irradiating a laser beam. SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting head is formed with a space of a flow pathway on a flow pathway member composed of a permeable member and an absorbable member, and a discharging pathway other than the flow pathway, the discharging pathway having an opening part to be used for discharging to the outside of the flow pathway a gas generated when welding the permeable member and the absorbable member with a laser beam wherein the opening part is formed on a surface among surfaces different from the surface irradiated by the laser beam.
