The wagon has a roof element fixed at upright (10). Sidewalls (12) are pivotably mounted at the roof element in a longitudinal side such that each sidewall is pivotable from a vertical position into a pivot out position. Each sidewall is associated to a gas spring (11). The gas spring is coupled with an end to an articulated element (13) e.g. lever, such that distance of a free end of the spring to an edge associated to the roof element in the pivot out position is larger than in the vertical position. The articulated element is rotatable around stationary axis.
