PURPOSE: A stand type electric heater is provided to prevent the lowering of the temperature of a heating element and a reflector due to wind by preventing wind from directly contacting the heating element and the reflector. CONSTITUTION: A stand type electric heater comprises a head(5) formed with a through-hole(6) on the upper end of a stand(3). A hemi spherical housing(7) is mounted on the head and a hemi spherical reflector(10) is mounted on the housing. A ring-shaped heating element(20) is mounted on the reflector and a hole(11) is formed at the center of the reflector. A ventilation fan(30) is mounted in the head and a guide member(35) is mounted in the ventilation fan. The leading end of the guide member is arranged at the center of the heating element.
