<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for combustion of ammonia capable of being produced from an inexpensive raw material without using an expensive precious metal element, with simple and convenient production equipment and methods, and excellent in practicality and having the same ammonia combustion activity as that of a precious metal catalyst, the process for producing the same, and a method for combustion of ammonia using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for combustion of ammonia containing a manganese-cerium oxide as a catalyst A constituent, and at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of non-precious metal elements belonging to 8-11 groups of the periodic table as a catalyst B constituent includes 1-60 mass% of manganese in the manganese-cerium oxide in terms of manganese dioxide wherein the manganese-cerium oxide is preferably in a state of a uniformly closely mixed oxide of manganese-cerium which is identified as having a fluorite structure of cerium dioxide by powder X-ray diffraction measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
