<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device, controlling the quantity of toner supplied to each toner support independently of a developing electric field between the toner support and an image support, causing each toner support to exhibit a desired developing capability and providing a high-quality image even in high-speed development in a hybrid developing device including a plurality of toner supports and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The quantity of toner supplied from a developer support to the respective toner supports is controlled independently of a developing electric field between the toner support and the image support by making different phase of a.c. voltage applied to the plurality of toner supports, frequency and duty ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
