<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for protecting a polarizing plate, capable of reducing the degradation of a liquid crystal due to ultraviolet rays when assembled in a liquid crystal display as the polarizing plate and easily inspecting foreign matters and defects by the crossed nicol method. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester film for protecting the polarizing plate is a laminated polyester film comprising at least three layers, an ultraviolet absorber is contained in an inner layer, light transmittance at the wavelength of 380 nm is ≤10.0%, light transmittance at the wavelength of 550 nm is ≥80.0%, and an orientation angle is in the range of 70-90 degrees. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
