<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device that makes even a light incident between reflective pixel electrodes contribute to display of images, and to provide an electronic device that uses the liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 100 reflects light incident from the side of a second substrate 20 on the reflective pixel electrode 9a to be optically modulated with a liquid crystal layer 50, while being emitted from the side of the second substrate 20. In addition, light incident between the reflective pixel electrodes 9a out of light incident from the side of the second substrate 20 is reflected on an insulation reflective layer 73a, provided in a gap 9s sandwiched by the reflective pixel electrodes 9a and emitted from the second substrate 20 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
