PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirroring restoration device or the like for achieving the shortening of a system stop time by reducing a chance of full restoration from backup data. SOLUTION: A mirroring restoration device 10 is configured to, during mirror synchronization to copy the data of an existing second disk to an exchanged new first disk, operate when any error is generated in the second disk. Then, the mirroring restoration device 10 includes: a using situation determination means 11 for determining whether an error block as a block where any error is generated is being used or not used; an in-use processing means 12 for, when it is determined that the error block is being used, making a user stop the use of the error block; and a no-use processing means 13 for, when it is determined that the error block is not used, writing null data in the error block, and for continuing mirror synchronization.
