PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort message data so that an act of a user is more effectively reflected. SOLUTION: A message processing apparatus acquires a report on a spam mail (S101), and decides a group to which transmission source information (a mail address or the like) thereof belongs (S102). The message processing apparatus performs weighting by whether a user having performed the report is a heavy user (S103-S105), and calculates an evaluation value about the transmission source information (S106). The calculation of the evaluation value is performed in each group. The message processing apparatus decides whether a mail is the spam mail according to the evaluation value, adds the transmission source information wherein the evaluation value exceeds thresholds Th<SB>1</SB>and Th<SB>2</SB>to a common list (S113), and regards a transmission source of the transmission source information as a transmission source of the spam mail to all users.
