PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a disk drive device which can improve a cleaning level of components of the disk drive device and which can maintain low probability of occurrence of a TA trouble even when floating space of a magnetic head is made small. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the disk drive device, a cleaning step 100 and an assembling step 200 are continuously implemented in a clean room with a predetermined level or higher. For a base member 12 of the disk drive device which is a cleaning and assembling target, the cleaning step 100 includes an alkaline cleaning step 104, a first pure water cleaning step 106, a second pure water cleaning step 108, a spray cleaning step 110, a draining step 112, and a drying step 114. In the first pure water cleaning step 106, pure water ultrasonic cleaning using frequencies of 40 kHz, 68 kHz and 132 kHz are sequentially performed in pure water 128 filling a first pure water cleaning tank 126. The cleaned base member 12 is assembled with other components with the cleaning level of a predetermined value or higher at the assembling step 200 continuously performed after the cleaning step 100.
