PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid, in a stream data processing system, a situation such that a tuple which would be output without failure is lost and not output when a failure is recovered. SOLUTION: A computer 111 for the stream data processing system includes a query recovery point management table 126. A recovery point management section 119 determines a recovery point for the system by identifying the oldest one of input tuples used for generating output tuples, which are managed, or an earlier tuple through the use of a query recovery point stored in the query recovery point management table 126, and transmits the determined recovery point to an additional computer 100. The computer 100 stores the last-received recovery point for the system in a checkpoint file 109. When the computer 111 recovers from a fault, the computer 100 transmits data succeeding the stored recovery point to the computer 111. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
