The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for identifying a location of warehouse cargo by attaching an RFID electronic tag to the ceiling of a warehouse, comprising: a 1st RFID electronic tag which is attached to the ceiling of the warehouse and transmits information for finding out the location; a 2nd RFID electronic tag which is attached to a position adjacent to the cargo, and transmits cargo information; an RFID reader which is installed on a forklift that piles up, loads and carries the cargo, and respectively receives the information for finding out the location that is transmitted from the 1st RFID electronic tag and the cargo information that is transmitted from the 2nd RFID electronic tag; a cargo loading position managing unit which confirms loading position information of the corresponding cargo based on the cargo information of the 2nd RFID electronic tag and the information for finding out the location of the 1st RFID electronic tag attached to a particular part of the ceiling, which is identified by the RFID reader when the cargo is carried and loaded by the forklift during the warehousing and shipment of the cargo, and manages the warehousing and shipment operations of the cargo.
