<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vein depth determination apparatus, a vein depth determination method, and a program for easily determining depth in which veins exist. <P>SOLUTION: The vein depth determination apparatus includes: a vein information extraction section which irradiates the surface of a finger with near-infrared light with predetermined wavelength to extract vein information which is information unique to a vein existing inside the finger from each of a plurality of pieces of vein imaging data generated by imaging the finger surface which has been irradiated with the near-infrared light, from directions different from each other; a moving amount calculation section which calculates a moving amount of the vein caused by rotary movement based on the plurality of pieces of extracted vein information; and a depth determination section which determines the depth of the vein existing inside the finger based on the calculated moving amount of the vein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
