摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boat propulsion machine capable of reducing electric power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The boat propulsion machine 10 includes an outboard engine body 28; a swivel bracket for mounting the outboard engine body 28 relative to a hull rockably in a left/right direction; an electric motor 62 provided on the swivel bracket in order to rock the outboard engine body 28 in the left/right direction; a transmission mechanism provided on the swivel bracket in order to transmit drive force of the electric motor 62 to the outboard engine body 28; a lock clutch for locking the transmission mechanism such that the outboard engine body 28 is not rocked in the left/right direction by external force received by the outboard engine body 28; a steering part 12 for steering the outboard engine body 28; a steering angle sensor 18 for detecting a steering angle of the steering part 12; a pivot sensor 92 for detecting an actual steering angle of the outboard engine body 28; and an ECU 16 for controlling the electric motor 62 based on the comparison result of angle difference of the steering angle and the actual steering angle and a threshold value.
