<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element with excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency, especially a photoelectric conversion element applicable to a flexible substrate, having excellent flexibility, and excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The organic photoelectric conversion element includes a bulk hetero junction type photoelectric conversion layer 13 between a first electrode 12 and a second electrode 14. The first electrode includes an auxiliary electrode 16 formed of conductive fiber 15 on a photoelectric conversion layer side. The conductive fiber is coated with metal oxide, and metal of the metal oxide is not an element for structuring the conductive fiber.
