<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus improved in operability when in use while attaching a storable lens barrel by shortening the length of the lens barrel. <P>SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus (130) includes: an imaging element (201) for imaging an image formed by an optical system in a state that the imaging element is arranged at a first distance from the optical system in the optical axis direction of the optical system; a distance varying means for varying the distance between the optical system and the imaging element to a second distance narrower than the first distance; a detecting means (S1) for detecting that the distance between the optical system and the imaging element is varied to the second distance; a power supply device (205) for selectively supplying power to the imaging element; and a shut-off means for shutting off power supply from the power supply device when detecting by the detecting means that the second distance is obtained during the power supply from the power supply device to the imaging element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
