PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stretched film, which effectively suppresses a boring phenomenon. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the stretched film by stretching a film while moving a plurality of clips holding two opposed sides of the film to convey the film within an oven includes a stretching step of extending the space between the clips facing a transverse direction orthogonal to the conveying direction of the film in the transverse direction to stretch the film. In the stretching step, a first treatment for extending the space of the clips also in a vertical direction parallel to the conveying direction while extending it in the transverse direction is performed, and then a second treatment for contracting the space of the clips in the vertical direction while extending it in the transverse direction is performed.
