PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for acquiring appropriate coolant circulation amounts and for performing an efficient operation, even when the setting modes of cooling and heating are different, even if an inexpensive fixed type expander is used. SOLUTION: In the vending machine, a cooling circulation circuit is configured of: a compressor; a condenser electromagnetic valve; a condenser; an expansion means; and a distributor which distributes a coolant; a cooler entrance electromagnetic valve; a plurality of in-container heat exchangers, and a cooler exit electromagnetic valve. In the cooling circulation circuit, a heating/cooling circulation circuit is configured by carrying out piping-connection via a heater electromagnetic valve to a gap between an in-container heat exchanger and the cooler entrance electromagnetic valve, and carrying out piping-connection from the gap between the in-container heat exchanger and the cooler exit electromagnetic valve through an outside-container heat exchanger and a second expansion means to a distributor. The vending machine is provided with a means for, when performing an operation by switching the setting mode of cooling and heating, performing the operation in a prescribed time in the setting mode of the cooling isolated operation, and for performing operation in the selected setting mode.
