METHOD FOR SENDING APERIODIC CHANNEL QUALITY INFORMATION

<p>The present invention provides a method for sending aperiodic channel quality information (CQI) and a mobile terminal. The method includes: one or several kinds of transmission modes supporting dual-layer beamforming and aperiodic CQI feedback modes corresponding to said transmission modes are predetermined between the mobile terminal and the network side; the network side instructs the mobile terminal to adopt a required kind of predetermined transmission mode; when said mobile terminal receives the instruction for adopting the kind of said predetermined transmission mode, the mobile terminal adopts the aperiodic CQI feedback mode corresponding to the kind of said predetermined transmission mode for feeding back CQI information to said network side. The method of the present invention is conducive to reducing signaling overhead and feedback overhead, and improving dimensionality of channel information feedback, and improving the system throughput.</p>
