The carrier (1) has a rotationally symmetric base body (2) surrounded by a noise protection sleeve (4). A noise protection layer is bordered to the base body at a bend-slackening mantle surface of the protection sleeve. The protection sleeve comprises a spacer textile (5) with two adjacent cover surfaces, and spacer threads connecting the cover surfaces. A sound-absorbing material (11) is enclosed between the cover surfaces. The spacer threads are arranged in such a manner that spacer thread-free gasses are formed in longitudinal- and/or circumferential direction of the base body.
