The present invention relates to a peptide hydrolysate enriched with bioactive peptides, said hydrolysate being a proteasome activator. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition including said hydrolysate in a physiologically acceptable medium, as well as to the use thereof in depigmenting, bleaching and/or whitening the skin and in preventing or treating hyperpigmentation spots as well as the signs of skin photoaging. The invention finally relates to a cosmetic treatment method using said peptide hydrolysate.
