The present invention relates to the use of inhibitors of the IRAK protein kinase family or a pharmaceutical composition thereof in the treatment of neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Furthermore, the present invention relates to methods and devices for the diagnosis or response prediction of neurological disorders by measuring kinase activity and studying the phosphorylation levels and profiles in samples of said patients.
