<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible stent which has excellent following property to the lumen, or the like (thus capable of passing through a three-dimensionally meandering lumen), shows no substantial shortening, and facilitates a side hole formation. <P>SOLUTION: This stent comprises a plurality of annular members 1 arranged longitudinally to keep the lumen of a living body in an opening state, and one or a plurality of connection elements 2 connecting the adjacent annular members 1 and 1 with each other in the longitudinal direction. The annular member 1 further comprises a plurality of annular member elements 11 extending circumferentially in a repeating meandering pattern, and is expandable in the radial direction.
