When a short-circuit fault occurs in an inverter (14), the limp-home operation using a motor generator (MG2) is performed. During the limp-home operation, an MGECU (300) turns on all of switching elements connected in parallel to a short-circuited switching element in a power supply line, when the rotation speed of a motor generator (MG1) calculated from a value detected by a position sensor (22) exceeds a prescribed reference rotation speed. The MGECU (300) turns on only a switching element connected in series to the short-circuited switching element, when the rotation speed is less than or equal to the reference rotation speed. As a result, the generation of an overcurrent in the inverter (14) can be prevented without restricting the limp-home operation.
|
