<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain dynamic-image coding equipment capable of realizing a miniaturization and the reduction of a power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A prediction controller 11 in a frame outputs a prediction-mode indication; and a predictor generator 15 generates a predictor according to the prediction-mode indication from a prediction image in the horizontal direction, and the prediction image in the vertical direction held to a horizontal prediction-image holder 13 and a vertical prediction-image holder 14. A shift computing element 16 shift-operates the predictor according to the prediction-mode indication, and a correlator 17 computes the correlation value of the shift-operated predictor and a coded image held to a coded-image holder 12, and an evaluation-value computing element 18 totals the computed correlation value at every prediction mode at small block units and small-block evaluation values are operated arithmetically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
