The system has a CPU (H) for processing process signals of a technical process. An address test unit (APH) transfers address relations from the CPU to stations (A, B, C) and/or within a station by a rear wall bus (CR) to modules of the station for clear data technical addressing of the stations and/or the modules during an initial operation via a field bus (F). The valid transferred address relations are received by the stations and/or the modules. The address relations are tested by the unit with an actual existence on the stations and/or the modules for plausibility.
