<p>FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for synthesis of bisphenol A in which a) phenol and acetone are mixed, b) said mixture is heated, c) said heated mixture which is at a certain temperature is brought into contact with an acid ion exchanger as a catalyst and d) bisphenol A is extracted from the reaction mixture obtained at step c).
