<p>The unit i.e. exterior mirror (1), has a fastener fastened on a motor vehicle, and an opening receiving a reflecting element or a rear-view camera. An expected break point (21) runs in a longitudinal direction of the unit, and is made of an elastic material. An airbag device is provided against a travel direction (10) of the unit. An indicator module is plugged into a housing of the unit, and an airbag unfolds out of the opening. The airbag device is triggered by a control signal generated by sensors in the unit after analyzing camera image.</p> |
