<p>The device has an intermediate layer (Z) inserted between articles that are stacked on one another. Two feed places (A, B) for the intermediate layer is provided in the region of palletizing device (P) and intermediate layer-feeding device (G) is formed and controlled such that the intermediate layer is separable from one of the feed place and supplied to a palletizing device (P). The intermediate layer-feeding device intermediate layer comprises an intermediate layer conveyor (ZF) for the intermediate layer.
