FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: in the method, values of banknote identification data are written to the memory of a storage device, incoming banknotes received by recipients are identified by detecting features of identification banknotes, the features are transmitted and values of digital signals corresponding to identification data of the incoming banknotes are compared with banknote identification data values in the storage device, if the values coincide, decision is made regarding the identification of a banknote with a uniqueness defect and the recipient transmitting the digital signals is identified, a relevance period is set during which banknote identification data maintain relevance for a specific recipient. ^ EFFECT: possibility of identifying two or more banknotes with identical identification features which are unique, which enables authentication of the banknotes before they fall on the market. ^ 25 cl, 2 dwg |
