[Class 20 (ii)] Shuttering for the construction of concrete floors, walls &c. comprises a base sheet 10 which is propped or otherwise supported over the space to be occupied by the floor &c. the sheet having affixed thereto a series of parallel formers or hollow cores 11, the floor &c. being completed by pouring concrete into the troughlike spaces between the cores up to, or above the level of the upper surfaces of the cores. Reinforcements 15 may be positioned in the trough-like spaces by brackets 16 secured to the base 10. The base sheets may be of resinbonded plywood, plaster-board, asbestos board &c. or a superimposed combination of two or more such forms of board. The cores 11 may be of resin-bonded plywood rolled in tubular formation, or other material, e.g., sheet metal, toughened glass &c. may be used. The cores preferably have a flat under surface for gluing or cementing to the base sheet. The cores may be corrugated and of any appropriate cross-section to provide good keying with the concrete. The shuttering is preferably prefabricated in units each comprising a base sheet with its relative cores positioned and fixed thereon. Service conduits and fitments can also be incorporated within the cores during prefabrication of the shuttering.
