The body has a single-piece blank (100) comprising a square base element (10) and four side wall elements (20, 22, 24, 26), where two of the four side wall elements are reinforced by reinforcement elements (62, 64). The reinforcement elements are mounted inside the body at folded intermediate elements (28, 30, 32, 34). Latches (70, 72) are formed at the reinforcement elements by setting section lines (66, 68), and simultaneously engage the folded intermediate elements at the side wall elements. The body is made of plastic, water-proof coated cardboard or paper. An independent claim is also included for a waterproof container comprising a handle.
