An expandable tubular defining an outer wall for connection to a surrounding tubular or wellbore, comprises a plurality of projections on the outer wall defined by free ends that extend from the outer wall in different angular directions. The projections penetrate the inner wall of the surrounding tubular or surface of the wellbore upon expansion of the outer wall, and flex with respect to the outer wall upon expansion thereof.
