PURPOSE: A composition with an effect of improving ventilation containing novel plant extract and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to lower blood pressure and blood glucose and treat gout. CONSTITUTION: A functional food with an effect of treating gout contains 27-54 weight parts of power of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn, 2-4 weight parts of pine needle powder; 2-4 weight parts of green tea powder, 4-8 weight parts of corn silk powder, 2-4 weight parts of Salicornia herbacea powder, 1-2 weight parts of Cordyceps sinensis powder, 4-8 weight parts of Plantaginis Semen powder, 2-4 weight parts of kelp powder, 0.5-1 weight parts of brown rice powder, 0.5-1 weight parts of Brassica juncea powder, 1-2 weight parts of cucumber powder, 1-2 weight parts of sulfur powder, 10-20 weight parts of onion juice, and 10-20 weight parts of Japanese apricot juice.
