PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing potassium titanate whisker is provided to obtain K_2Ti_6O_13 whisker of uniform micro size though degration by heating. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing potassium titanate whisker is performed using diffusion effect by wet process using water. A method for manufacturing whisker comprises a step of combining diffusion effect and degradation effect and to synthesize crystal growth at 800-1050°C. Titanium dioxide and industrial potassium compound are used as a raw material.
