PURPOSE: A coupler for joint of reinforcing bars for construction work and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the durability of a reinforcing bar structure by providing a coupler having high tensile strength. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a coupler(1) for joint of reinforcing bars for construction work comprises a step of preparing a steel material(10), a first cold forging step for molding an edge of the steel material, a second cold forging step for molding both edges of the steel material and forming a chamfered portion(10a), a third cold forging step for extending the entire length and the exterior diameter, a fourth cold forging step for forming a cut part(10c), a fifth cold forging step for forming a plurality of planar parts(10d) on the exterior of the steel material, and forming female thread on the interior of the steel material.
