PURPOSE: A system for providing rear images of a vehicle and a providing method thereof are provided to enable a user to check right and left sides without turning the head by selectively providing right and left rear images in the lane change of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing rear images of a vehicle comprises a switch(120), an imaging part(130), a display part(140) and a controller(110). The command of operator is inputted in a switch. A imaging part takes the images of right and left sides of a vehicle according to the command of a driver. The display part indicates the left and right rear side image. The controller is connected to the switch, the imaging part and the display part. The controller transfers left and right rear side image to the display part from the imaging part.
